Configuring/Modifying Test Schedule/Using Copy To

Begin Configuring/Building Test Schedule

  • Select the test administration you wish to set up (i.e. May EOC)

  • A list of tests within the administration will appear, select Configure Test Schedule

You will be prompted to create a session of a set amount of time during which the test will take place.

  • Enter a start and end time then choose Add New. TIP: if you are testing all students during the same time block each day, only set up one session. If you are testing different students or different tests in the morning and the afternoon, set up 2-time sessions. You do NOT need to set up time sessions for each day. The times will apply to any given day in the window. Be careful not to overlap times if setting up more than one.

The test time (i.e. session) that is created will be displayed and additional times can be added as well

Once all test times (sessions) have been created, select Save Sessions in the upper right corner

Users will then be able to choose within the window which tests will be available on which day(s).

  • To add a test to a day and session(s), select the + within the table on the day(s) the test will occur

  • Multiple days may be selected

  • Once the days and sessions are selected, the boxes will turn green and then you can choose which test(s) on the right-hand side by checking the box next to the test(s) you want to add

  • Once the selections are made, choose Save Assignment

  • To begin adding students to the test, choose Build Tests

Users will then be directed to the Tests view page

On this page users can complete the following:

  • Adding students

  • Filtering students

  • Assigning students and teachers to rooms

Please note that once a test session is created, in order to delete or add an additional session, you will need to click the Edit Sessions button on the right side.

Modifying the Test Schedule

You can modify the Test Schedule one day at a time.

To modify the schedule, highlight the box with the session(s) and day of the week that you would like to change. The box will turn green.

To remove a test from the test schedule, uncheck the box beside the test(s) you want to remove, then click Save Assignment.  CAUTION: You will not be able to delete a test assignment if you already have students in the test, you will have to delete the students, rooms, etc, or see the next question below on how to move a test to a different day if you have students in the test already.

Test Assignment(s) Confirmation box will appear, listing the assigned test(s) and the test(s) you want to delete.  Click Continue to delete the test(s) you want to remove or Cancel to make a change before deleting.

How do I Move My Test to a Different Day or Copy My Test to A Different Administration or Subject?

If you find you need to move your test to a different day, and you already have kids and/or rooms in the test, you will need to configure your test schedule to add the test to the new date (do not delete your original test ). You will add the rooms you wish to use in the new test and then use the Move feature to move the kids from the original test, room by room, to the new test.  Please note: You will not be able to use the copy to feature for this since it is within the same test admin and subject.  Copy To is for copying to a different subject or admin.

First, go to your configure test schedule page and click on the day you wish to add the new test to. Choose the test and click save the assignment.

Click build tests and In the new test, add the rooms you will use for the new day.

Now you will move students, room by room, from the original test to the new test.

In the original test, click on the first room in your room's table and choose Show> All to show all students in the room, and then click Select All to select all the students in the room.  Use the action ribbon at the bottom of the page to choose the new date and session you wish to move to and click Move Students.

Continue moving students room by room until you have them all in the new test (They will no longer be assigned to rooms in the original test).

You can now click on each room to add your teachers/test administrators back in.

Once you are confident you have everything moved into the new test, you can delete the original testing day from your schedule.

Using the Copy to Feature to Copy From One Test Subject or Administration to Another

The Copy To Feature can be used to copy students from one test administration to another or one test subject to another. After setting up the original test, configure the test schedule for the test you will be copied to. It must be empty and not contain any students, teachers, rooms, booklets, etc. Navigate to the original test that you want to copy from and select the Copy To option on the toolbar.

Next, select the test subject or test administration that you would like to copy your test to then use the drop-down to select the copy type. Place a checkmark next to the items you would like to copy such as Booklets or Test Administrators.

Use the drop-down to select the Session you are copying from and the session you will be copied to.

Click Copy Now. Then navigate to the test that you copied to and review your copied information. You can tweak, edit, filter, and update information as needed.

TIPS: Be sure you have accepted all student alerts to ensure all students get copied over. The destination test MUST be empty, and please note unassigned students (not in rooms) will not copy over.
