*Standards are added by the system administrator to each department using the steps below. Courses within departments are then able to choose from the added standard sets.

  1. Click on ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTIONS-DEPARTMENTS in the navigation bar on the left side of the screen

  2. Click on the Department in which the standards will be housed

  3. In the STANDARD PROVIDER dropdown, choose the standard provider that will be used

    1. Please note: Organizations such as College Board and ACT populate in alphabetical order below the states (after Wyoming).

  4. Choose your STANDARD SET

  5. Click ADD to add the standards to the department (The option to PREVIEW is also available)

  6. In the AREA EDIT box, assign a name and abbreviation the standards.

  7. Ensure that the “Align Learning Targets to these standards” box is checked

  8. Click SAVE

Your new standards have been added. Repeat these steps as needed to add additional Standard Sets in this department or other departments.

Do not delete the old standards yet as learning targets are still tied to those standards. The next step makes the old standards unavailable for assigning to learning targets but does not delete them.

  1. Start on the same page in which the new standards were added, click on the old standards set

  2. The AREA EDIT box will appear- uncheck the “Align Learning Targets to these standards” box

  3. Click SAVE

Updating Learning Targets

  1. Go to the course with new standards

  2. Click EDIT MODE

  3. Click on the LEARNING TARGET list

  4. Click the EDIT ICON next to each learning target that needs to have the alignment changed

  5. Scroll to and click on SHOW AVAILABLE STANDARDS to see all the available standards

  6. Select the correct standard alignment

  7. Click REFRESH/SAVE

 Changing the Standard Title

  1. Go to CURRICULUM – STANDARDS – REALIGN STANDARDS

  2. Select the standards you want to migrate learning targetsfrom in the ORIGINAL STANDARD dropdown 

  3. Choose the DEPARTMENT and AREA for that standard set

    1. Optionally, you can choose the standard STRAND or search by COVERED GRADE or KEYWORD and then click on the standard that has learning targets you wish to align to a new standard.

  4. Check the box next to the learning targets you wish to align to the new standards or click SELECT ALL for all learning targets

  5. Select the standards you would like to migrate learning targets to in the NEW STANDARD dropdown

  6. Choose the DEPARTMENT and AREA for that standard set.

    1. Optionally, you can choose the standard Strand or search by Covered Grade or Keyword. Then click on the standard that has learning targets that you wish to align to a new standard.

  7. Click ALIGN TO NEW STANDARD to align the selected learning targets to the new standards.

    1. You can click UNALIGN FROM OLD STANDARDto remove the alignment of old standards from the targets. This is not required as the alignment will be removed when the standards are removed from the department.

Deleting Old Standards

After all learning targets have been realigned to the updated standards, you can delete the old standards. Please note, standards can be housed in more than one department, be sure to repeat this process in all departments where the old standards are housed.  

  1. Go to the Department and Area of the old standards

  2. Click the red 'X' in the DELETE column

  3. Click OK in the pop-up message

  4. Click DELETE COMPLETELY in the final warning message
